Chlorhexidine Gluconate 2% Cleaning Solution

This stuff is AMAZING for cleaning, my cages and toys have never been so sanitized and disinfected. This one should be in everyone's cleaning supplies!

Chlorhexidine is a safe, easy to use, non-toxic disinfectant cleaning agent used by veterinarians and hospitals to clean and sanitize environmental surfaces. It is also one of the disinfecting agents in mouthwash, as well as a surgical scrub and wound cleanser. Chlorhexidine works as an antiseptic agent against a range of micro-organisms including bacteria, fungi, ringworm and yeast, completely safe for use around animals.

Chlorhexidine 2% Solution is safer to use than other available cage cleaners. Unlike bleach, Chlorhexidine 2% Solution does not have an odor, chemicals, or fumes that can harm your animals. It is particularly effective against such bacteria as Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

For a cleaning solution mix 2 tbsp (1oz) per gallon of water (or for a much smaller batch 1.5 tsp per 1 litre of water), spray on cage, allow to soak for 5 mins and rinse off with water.
